The Hot Shot Instructional Philosophy

The majority of us are not professionally-talented athletes.  Otherwise we'd all be in the NHL!  The
vast majority of players are in the game for fun, exercise and to make new friends.  But we still want
to be the best we can be.  We have to work at our skills.  You have to learn proper techniques
before you can apply them in games because that's all you do in games:  apply the skills that you
already have.

Hot Shot instruction begins with correct techniques in a slower, no-pressure environment.  Then
we pick up the pace, increasing the difficulty and complexity so that you can take the skills into
games with confidence.  You will gain the ability to improve in leaps and bounds on your own and
experiment with new and different techniques to take your game even higher!

Hockey takes on a whole new level of fun when you become a fast skater.  And it's simply a blast
when you can do something with the puck.  It's great fun to play and know that you can beat
defenders, make plays, and score goals!

We concentrate on giving the players the tools.  Players will figure out the game once they have the
tools!  And they'll love the game.
